Ours under the fig tree

This is Ours, under the fig tree.  Ours means Bear in French.  He's a hunting dog who had been in a refuge for two and half years before he came to live with me. .  He's a wonderful dog, but terrified of the world and hides whenever I have a visitor - this after over a year of living here.   It's probably not going to improve - he's even scared of the wind!

But he's happy now- so joyful at food times and when I come home - and trusts me completely - it goes without saying 'he's my beautiful boy' and I couldn't live without him!

Dogs react so positively to humans with a heart. So much damage to this lovely dog that you have been healing. All of our rescue dogs have always expressed incredible gratitude for our love and affection. Kiss and hug him for me! I can hear the yapping applause from all the dogs on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge when your name is mentioned.

I hear it too, Kate.

Ours is as lucky to have you as you are to have him.
