I simply make little noises to attract their attention and their expression is probably saying &amp;#39;what does SHE want?&amp;#39; and then perhaps we read much more into their expression than is there. But really I don&amp;#39;t know.  They can look so sad, so deeply sad sometimes (in a photo) but I&amp;#39;m not convinced they are.
